Belmont Community Orchestra Reading Party and Potluck

Curious about joining the Belmont Community Orchestra this fall? Come see what it’s like at this informal get-together! Meet and play with current BCO musicians in a reading session led by conductor Marshunda Smith, and enjoy a potluck lunch together.

This is open to adult string players who are comfortable playing the following :

Violin: open G up to 4th-finger B on the E string
Viola: open C up to 3rd-finger D on the A string
Cello: open C up to 4th-finger D on the A string
Bass: at least 1st through 2nd position

…with real comfort using 4th finger (violins and violas especially). This is just a baseline – more advanced players are also welcome!

The music we’ll be reading will be available via a shared Google Drive, which will be sent out in mid-July.

Please note: There is no air conditioning available in the Concert Hall, so please treat this as an “outdoor” event! Dress light. Water will be provided.
