Singer, conguero, multi-instrumentalist and Boston Music Award Nominee Manolo Mairena hails from Costa Rica. His music has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide and he’s known for his dynamic stage presence and undeniable talent. Manolo’s latest album is “Esto es lo que Hay,” released in November 2023.

Mairena is active in the Boston scene, having played with La Clave Secreta, Mango Blue, Balaton and other leading Latin and Latin jazz groups in the area. His musical styles have wide influences, from straight up contemporary commercial salsa to Cuban timba and from old school charanga to son montuno.

A New York resident since 2001, Grammy® Award Winner Alon Yavnai was born and raised in Israel, where he acquired his formal music education. In 1996, three years after arriving in the United States, Alon won first prize at the Great American Jazz Piano Competition. After several years living in Boston, where Alonrecorded two albums as a leader, he moved to New York and toured worldwide with Paquito D’Rivera and his Quintet and Jazz Chamber Trio for the next few years.
