ArtsBoston is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts.
Vivo Performing Arts
Celebrity Series of Boston is now Vivo Performing Arts. “Vivo” is inspired by the Latin verb vivere, meaning to endure, to last, to subsist. In Italian and Spanish, it means simply “I live.” The name invokes our purpose: when we present live events that move, connect, and inspire audiences, we make the arts come alive.
Tickets that currently say Celebrity Series of Boston are still valid for this season.
Established in 1938, Vivo Performing Arts has evolved into New England’s major presenting organization with over 100 performance and outreach activities annually.
Each season from October to May, the Vivo Performing Arts presents more than 50 multi-cultural and international artists and performing ensembles to audiences in the greater Boston area. By utilizing a number of different performance venues throughout the Boston area, each year Vivo presents programs of classical music, modern and classical dance, jazz, folk, world music, family music, and multi-media performances.
