ArtsBoston is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts.
The Eliot School inspires lifelong learning in craft and creativity for all by offering classes to people of all ages in woodworking, sewing and yarn, fiber arts, book arts, drawing, painting, photography, and other crafts and fine arts at our historic schoolhouse. Through our School & Community Partnerships, we also bring art instruction to young people where they live, work, and play. Our high-quality classes take place across Boston—in schools, libraries, and community centers. We reach children who may not receive art, woodworking, or tinkering classes anywhere else. We also nurture young artists through our Teen Bridge program and support Boston-based artists through our annual Artist in Residence. Our primary goal is always to cultivate welcoming environments where people convene across a continuum of age, economic means, and backgrounds to build skills, craft, and community. Our classes and programs satisfy the human desire to create, engage in self-expression, and learn by doing.
